When Bob and I were walking out of the hospital yesterday he started to walk to his car while I walked to mine, he turned to me and said, "Don't you feel like you've been reborn. Isn't it the most beautiful day?!" We've been together for so long that he was speaking exactly what I was thinking! Yes, I'm lovin' life today - considering how things could have gone . . .
It all started with a mammogram - a mammogram that didn't come back 'clean'! The hospital called and said an ultra-sound had been scheduled - I had no idea something was wrong - no doctor call, no warning! Well, actually I did get a clue when the technician acted a little nervous when she came back to retake a picture - I was a little suspicious.
Long-boring-story-short . . . they gave me the news that something was wrong and then made me wait a very long agonizing holiday weekend before having the ultra-sound! Now that I look back on it, I wouldn't change a thing about waiting . . . because I learned some valuable lessons!
What did they find? A pea-sized cyst that they are not going to remove - just keep an eye on! So, I'll be back in there in about six months for a followup ultra-sound. If it doesn't change in size, nothing will be done.
Thank you my friends and family for your thoughts and prayers - I felt so much support and love and it truly was cool of you . . .
Thank you Bobby-boy for the blessing you gave me and for being such a loving, supportive, sweetheart when I was a tad-scared-out-of-my-wits!
What am I doing today . . . "Oh, just lovin' life!"
