adolescent sitting - day 1

I've been MIA for the past few days - state girls BB in Boise for three days . . . yes, three days without ANY snow. Their wind made up for it though - totally freezing cold - fairly annoying.

ADOLESCENT SITTING IN UTAH:
Before I go into any details, let me just tell you - highways/freeways in Idaho and Utah are MUCH, MUCH different. Let me punctuate that comment by saying, I feel like attaching FLASHING, WARNING SIGNS on the TOP of my car saying, 'CAUTION, IDAHO DRIVER AHEAD'! You get the picture!

I've always been very confident in my driving - never been in an accident, earned myself only one speeding ticket in all the years I've been driving (I'll have to tell you about that sometime) and can navigate pretty well in unfamiliar places! However, my life of travel with Bob involves sitting back, snoozing, reading, taking pictures - just vegging - brainless would be the word. I've come to Utah to 'take care of family' and I've been forced onto the highways and byways! I could say, it might do me in. For one week, I'll be taking Leah to school 1/2 hour, one way! Two hours of driving daily ON THE FREEWAYS. One false move and I might find myself in Las Vegas! I am proud to say that I survived the morning shift (barely) - Leah delivered in one piece to school. If I were a wise person, I would totally take my suitcase and veg at the local Target until she gets out of school! Now, that's a thought - maybe I catch a show while I'm at it!
