the office / new church job

You know, usually I would sit and tell you about our Sunday around here . . .

Okay, I have to start my day by saying, "Did you watch "The Office" last night after the Super Bowl?  If you didn't, let me put it this way - I had to run to the bathroom a few times as we were laughing our guts out - not to mention possible heart failure!  Did you stick around and watch it?  Ohhhhhh, man - it was as funny as it gets and to top it off, it lasted {1} hour.  A perfect followup to the Super Bowl. 

Journal Entry:

Well, yesterday I was sustained as 2nd Councilor in Young Women.  I've been in Primary the past 5 years with Bob and now I'm back in Young Women - totally out of the comfort zone I had so enjoyed.  I have to comment, I was the oldest one in the room (haha) and my lack of wardrobe was even more apparent - ouch!  How could I be so 'out of my element' in such a short amount of time?  I recognized only a few girls!  

When the Bishop was setting me apart (officially giving me the job), he stopped and paused after starting, got very emotional (I thought, 'Oh man, he finally discovered I'm the wrong person for the job!') and started again.  That didn't happen with the others - so, that humbled me to my core as I knew he was in tune to the Spirit and to what was going on in my life.  Weather I wanted to be there, or not - this is where I was to be at this time!  As time goes on, the reason will be made known!  

And, for me, it's off to the mall for a make-over!
