my little world

Sounds a little arrogant doesn't it . . . my world! Actually, this picture is my neighbor's world! Everyday, I drive by these teeny little flowers on my way to town and everyday I say I'm going to take a picture of them - and they only have a little life left. So tonight, right before sunset, I walked over and took a close look. They're wild and made a random appearance in Fred's yard . . .

this little one appears to be the new-comer to the group - all tender and young untouched by the elements . . .

this one finishing up with blooming just like it's little neighbor that is simply a seed-pod at the moment - yet important! . . .

this guy is in my little world - a quiet sentinel that stands guard in our yard protecting our home and at any given moment in time could send life-saving water in our direction. Over the years 'he's grown in character . . .

I just had to get a picture of this phenomenon before it disappears for the winter. A few years ago a seed took root in a small little cavity in this rock and took root. The little plant comes back every year and each year the plant gets bigger and bigger . . .

splashes of color are all around - if you just look . . .

and look! I think I recognize this guy! Remember a month ago when I spotted the baby chick perched in the tree out front? I think this is 'him/her'! I was playing with Drago, Mini and Bella outside and 'he' just sat in the tree looking down at us - completely relaxed and totally starring

Yes, I think it's our funny little 'goof-ball' . . .
