Unfortunately, no corned beef-cabbage and red potatoes on our table today! I did watch "Martha" cook and, of course, I drooled a bit. This holiday comes at an important time for those who live in the snow! The GREEN is intense and WONDERFUL and so welcome to the eye when all you've had to look at is white and gray.
Bob lived in Ireland for 2 1/2 years so you would think all things would be green around here - but not so. I'm in awe at those who are so creative and motivated to make this their holiday. When Bob served a mission there, the country was in turmoil - the Catholics and Protestants were at it big time! One day we're going to visit that beautiful country. When the Teton Dam flood hit our community back in 1976, we lost all Bob's pictures and mission-stuff - forever gone!
