Wow! Listen! . . . It's crazy-quiet around here . . . not a peep . . . just Drago snoring! This house is a little too empty - couldn't we have done this in baby steps - not wooooosh, everyone's gone all at once? We had little ghosts and goblins here since October 28th . . . and now, nothing!
Whit was going to make arrangements to go to Utah on the shuttle bus, but the more she thought about it and the more she talked to people (Nic did not have a good experience), the more she hinted that Mom and Grandma would be the best bet to take her and Bodin-boy. SO, Saturday Bob, Grandma and I headed south. We have a new Costco 1 hour from us SO, we stopped and checked out the facilities - remember, Cameron gave me my very own plastic-ID to 'said-establishment' and we were in the door and pretty excited to be there. After gocking at 'all-things-materialistic' you'd thought we'd died and gone to heaven - the place was amazing. My little VW is going to memorize it's way there, wearing little grooves into the road that will take me directly to the front door! What's an hour drive anyway!?! I'll answer that . . . GAS!$$$
We headed down the highway singing Primary songs like we've never sung before (Bodi loves them) and after 10 renditions of '99 bottles of beer on the wall' . . . he fell asleep (BTW, just kidding on the '99 bottles' ! ! ! . . . just checking to see if you're awake!) Schuy was waiting for us in the little town after you come through the mountains - and he WAS happy to see Whit and his adorable son after being seperated a week. Whit said she's never seen him like that - lonely without them! That made my heart feel happy! I had a fun time bonding with Bodin this trip - we put some miles on the rocker/recliner and played tractors and trucks together until I refined my truck-sounds . . . rhhhhmmmmmmm! Sweet, ha! Anyway, it was hard to let Whit and Bodi go - but they all looked so good together again, I didn't shed too many tears. We had to hurry back to our little spot on the map because Bob had to supervise a dance and we only had a short time to get back home. We made it but he didn't have time to change into a suit - went directly there in his levis and sweatshirt! I wonder if they wrote him up! (inside joke!)
