It's starting to drive me a little nuts! It always does! So much work to do and so little time. Sometimes I wish I was a 'guy' - they seem just so unbothered about the whole holiday-scene! I wish I could be 'unbothered', relaxed, care-free, untouched to the stress of this yearly event. I hear people say, "I LOVE the holidays, I LOVE Christmas!" . . . I wish that was me! I do LOVE the spirit of the holiday - for me, there's just such an under-current of being uptight, unprepared, bla-bla-bla-bla. Year after year I go through this, year after year I kick myself for feeling this way.
As our seven kids were growing up I was always stressed because I wanted everyone to be happy with their gifts, I wanted to create happy memories for everyone - now I have {25} people I feel responsible for - our numbers have grown. (Note to self: you're sounding a little pathetic here, a little Scroogeish! You really need to chill!) I'm definitely not into the Scrooge-thing but I guess my frustration stems from not having this "Christmas-thing" under control after all these years.
If you have any advice . . . I'm open for any suggestions. I have the 'grateful' thing down pat, no problem with that - just can't get the rest of my act together!

I am at the point where I only have to worry about my mom/dad/brother/grandma for which I can either buy something or make something and they'll all be equally happy - same with my husband. I can def. see how have 25 people to please takes the fun out of the holidays sometimes. I am definetly getting Christmas hungry though!

well, it's a good thing retailers practically put christmas stuff out in OCTOBER! That should give you plenty of time!
We are still in the "honeymoon" stages of Christmas. Our kids are so young that they don't really care.
Oh mother, you always made our Christmas's bright. I always felt so blessed to have such great parents who worked so hard to make the holiday's special. Don't stress! Now that we are all older we don't care about gifts. We care about being together. J/K we totally care about gifts. I could use a new hdtv 42" plasma screen. Hee, hee
I totally have a suggestion!!!!
