Opps, missed making a post entry! Yes, the day did happen and I loved it because I didn't have to prepare a lesson - it was a stress-free day at church! My little brain was soaking in the 'learning' today - I loved it, needed it, enjoyed it! I haven't been studying the way I should be and have been leaving it up to my teachers to deliver it - and man did they deliver today! I took (2) pages of notes and came away with a desire to 'do better' this week:
::PRAY - FAST - TITHE - SMILE ! ! !
::REJOICE in fasting and prayer!
::Why do you put a question mark where the
Lord puts a period?
-Harold B. Lee
::Don't say 'can't'!
Just a few quotes I liked but there was much more that had meaning to me!
While we were safely inside church, there was a storm brewing outside - by the time we left the building, it was pouring rain! During our meeting, I leaned over to Bob and said, "Let's go for a nice long walk with the dogs today!" There are two things you don't want to do 1) wash your car and 2) suggest you're going on a walk - because shortly thereafter, it'll rain and hard! The clouds opened up and let us have it. Finally, trees and bushes are in bloom and bulbs are sprouting forth some beautiful plants and flowers!
Meatloaf spread it's fragrance throughout the house - probably the first meal Bob had since I left to Utah. I did notice he thanked me many, many times for the good dinner! It didn't register until now! Ha! After church, my next door neighbor, Paula, came by and brought the biggest apple pie I've seen - ever! She stayed and visited awhile - she's a good friend with a big heart! It was delicious. Nicole brought funeral potatoes, grandma brought veggies and ice cream - presto, we had a great dinner.
THEN, you know it's spring when it's time to INVOICE for Northern Lawns! For whatever forward progress we made by going to church we took one step backward working on Sunday! But, when you need money - you invoice!
It was a sweet/good day. I DID miss my Utah family I left behind and thought about them all day! Went to bed exhausted - hit the pillow and my lights went o.u.t.!
