When August rolls around, we all know what's right around the corner . . . "The Triathlon"! Makes me tired just saying the word let alone thinking of the work that goes into preparing for it! Bob's been up again at 5:45 a.m. and heading to Rigby Lake with Ken to swim and get used to the frigid morning water! Swimming in the lake is done only a week before competition and the rest of the year is training in a pool - figure that one out when out town doesn't even have a pool!?! (Side note: Can you even comprehend a town without a pool? I had to vent!)
Okay, I'm an "x-swimmer" - I know how to get up early, head to the pool (when you wish you were still 'mummified' in your covers), swim so many miles that you sweat under water (yes, that's possible) and then do it again and again - day after day - year after year! Now, with my mature brain I'm thinking, "Why on earth would anybody want to do that willingly - of their own free will and choice?"

Today, I dropped Bob off at the route where the 'running' will take place and he walked it - just to remind himself of the pain that will be inflicted on him once again! Stay tuned for more action this weekend and get your poster boards and marking pens out so you can make a few posters that say . . .
